In Pics: Bigg Boss 9 Launches With a Ton of Salman’s Bhaigiri

The ninth season of Indian television’s biggest reality show Bigg Boss, will go on air starting October 11th. But here are some pictures from the press conference held on Monday, to officially launch the new season, sprinkled with Salman’s cute antics of course, and a lot of fun.

 

Salman introduced the audience and the media to Bigg Boss 9‘s tricky new theme ‘Double Trouble’ and also staged a courtroom scene with some of the show’s ex-contestants including Puneet Issar, Pritam Singh, Urvashi Dholakia and Ali Quli Mirza among others.

Salman revealed at the launch event, that he tends to get deeply involved with every contestant on the show, and that all of them are like family to him.

 

Reflecting upon previous seasons, Salman also confessed that initially he wasn’t ready for the new ‘Double Trouble’ theme, because he felt that it would create more controversies. And Salman for sure, doesn’t need any more, right!

The airing of Bigg Boss 9 happens to coincide with Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday. Salman said that this was their (show’s) way of wishing the legendary actor.

Salman was asked if his former girlfriend Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be promoting her comeback film Jazbaa on his show and the actor replied in his signature style with some sarcasm and a song. He said “kya jazbaati sawal poocha hai aapne” and then hummed a few lines of Aate Jaate Jo Milta Hai, Tum Sa Lagta Hai.


Salman also told reporters at the event that his family is a huge fan of Bigg Boss. In fact, his mother Salma Khan and Karan Johar’s mum Hiroo Johar, never fail to miss any episode of the show.

So ready or not, here comes Bigg Boss 9- Double Trouble!

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor- Before Kareena Saif was married Amrita Singh who was 12 years older to him, but marriage ended in 2004. Saif later fell in love with Kareena Kapoor on the sets of Tashan and got married to Kareena on October 16, 2012 who is 11 years younger to him.

Sanjay Dutt and Manyata- The 19-year age gap between Sanjay and Manyata. Both fell in love when they were reportedly introduced to each other by producer Nitin Manmohan in 2006. Their love-bond is strong and no effect of age-gap in their relationship. Manyata gave birth to twins in 2010.

Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput- Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput tied the knot on July 7, this year. There is a 13-year age difference between the 34-year-old Shahid and 21-year-old Mira from Lady Shri Ram College. They met through the religious group, Radha Soami Satsang Beas.
